Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Level 2
Early recognition of cardiac arrest and use of an AED is vital in increasing survival rates from cardiac arrest.
Roughwood Consultancy is fully regulated through Ofqual. This course covers is ideal for staff to train in the use of an AED.
This regulated course will be tailored to your needs. The AED course involves practical and multiple choice assessment and you will receive an externally awarded Ofqual Certificate, valid for 1 year upon successful completion.
We offer group courses at special group rates.
With our paramedic trained tutors you will have the confidence to deal with emergencies, develop skills and provide emergency first aid until the emergency services arrive.
Who should attend?
This excellent course is a regulated First Aid course. It is ideal for ‘nominated’ persons responsible for the use of an AED.

Assessment and certification
Continuous assessment by trainer, a practical assessment to use of an AED; recognition of a cardiac arrest; Care of an unconscious casualty, CPR and a Multiple Choice paper. Ofqual Approved Certification is valid for 1 year.
Tailored packages are available which include initial, annual refresher and re-qualification. Training can be provided at your premises, at our training centre, or at a suitable location nearby to you. We are flexible in our approach as training courses can be provided weekdays, weekends or over the course of selected evenings.
As a registered training facility Roughwood Consultancy is fully regulated with the Association of First Aiders (Aofa) to bring you this course.
Under The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981, the training in the use of an AED in the workplace is seen as a course designed as an `additional need` to the requirement to have someone trained in Emergency First Aid or First Aid at Work.
